I was going through some archives looking for some shots when I came across a model I remember really liking; Darian. Just so naturally pretty and sweet. I photographed her as a new face for Elite years ago. Not sure if she kept working, but I thought she was great. Plus, her and her mom were so nice. They said they would name a cow after me. Not sure if they did, and even if so, I suspect that cow might be dead by now.
Shot with only natural light in Brooklyn, NY with the original Canon 5D. Zero Retouching. If you know her, tell her to drop me a line. I would love to see how she and her mom are doing.

Currently, One Model Place is featuring my profile on the front page. Loved to see that Sport Illustrated featured the super cool Casie Chegwidden. We have shot together a couple times and we even considered doing another shoot on the day SI called her in!

I am very excited to to repost one of my all time favorite photo series of actress Charlotte Le Bon. I keep seeing her everyday on TV and now in a Huff Post article. Charlotte is in the very cool new movie, The Hundred-Foot Journey with Oscar winner Helen Mirren.
I photographed Charlotte a few years and she will always have a special place in my heart. Besides being so talented and sweet, I just found her natural beauty inspirational. I always credit this series as a benchmark in my career. Shot for designer Susana Monaco, it has won numerous awards (1,2,3) and press. It is still my most borrowed and blogged photo. Just the other week Elle magazine editor, Maria Duenas Jacobs instagrammed the shot with some jewelry by Aurelie Bidermann on it.

This upcoming Wednesday, Nov 5th, LIM College is having an event to benefit their scholarship fund. Some of my photographs will be on display. More interesting might be that several students are presenting original art and installations inspired by my and another photographer’s work. That should be interesting! $20 to attend, or $50 if you come earlier and have drinks. Of course the money goes to the scholarship fund and is a charitable deduction.
